Are you a developing Instructional / E-learning Designer with experience of authoring tools and WordPress, and developing multi-media content. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Society of Dyers and Colourists, the world's leading independent, educational charity dedicated to advancing the science and technology of colour worldwide. As a professional, chartered society and a global organisation, we've been representing our members and industry for over 135 years. With education at the heart of our strategy, this has included the launch of a new online learning platform (VLE), colour.network, as part of a 'colour education pathway'. We are now looking for a Junior Instructional Designer to work across the organisation, on a range of projects, to develop the technology and content of our learning platform and material in the most flexible and impactful way to optimise the learner experience. You will create a seamless user journey to ensure that learners remain engaged and courses see a positive retention rate, developing and applying assessments to ensure learning transfer takes place. You will be responsible for maintaining the website and system, liaising with third party providers as required. You will ensure that you're up to speed with latest technologies, researching and developing innovative techniques to deliver continuous improvements. You will have. Meticulous attention to detail, be highly organised, willing and able to maintain project management systems. Strong interpersonal, written and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate learners. The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Interest in personal development in using latest learning and digital technologies. The ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders as required. Excellent technical and computer skills with a good understanding of the Office 365 suite of tools.
