STA Travel was formed in the 1970s by two students in Australia. In 1979 it was acquired by the Swiss Diethelm Keller Group, which has headquarters in Zurich and Australia.

Today, the company has 2,000 people working in over 200 stores around the globe and over 2 million travellers book with them every year. It claims to be the world’s largest travel company for students and young people.

STA Travel originally stood for Student Travel Australia, but in recent years the company changed the acronym to stand for ‘Start The Adventure, to avoid dissuading travellers who are not students or under the age of 26.

Position overview. This is a new role responsible for fulfilment of all business and educational travel accounts. Offering world class customers service, attention to detail and efficiency. What you're accountable for. Manage a small portfolio of new and existing corporate and educational customers and accounts. Work with Business Development Managers and Execs to fulfil new business requests. Work with external suppliers to create high quality bespoke events. Able to research and source new venues, locations & suppliers. Transact all products including air, rail, accommodation, transfer, and insurance.
