Overview

Lastminute.com is one of the most famous brands in travel. Formed by Brent Doberman and Martha Lane Fox, within two years, lastminute.com had more than 500,000 users and had started selling theatre tickets and restaurant deals in addition to holidays.

In May 2005, Travelocity, part of the Sabre Corporation, bought the company for £577m. Almost a decade later Bravofly Rumbo, a European online travel agent, purchased last minute.com from Sabre for £76m.

These days the company offers hotels, spa days, city breaks, meals out and theatre tickets.
