Overview of EE
EE, part of the BT Group, is the largest and most advanced digital communications company in Britain, delivering mobile and fixed communications services.
EE has approximately 553 retail stores, and services more than 31 million connections across its mobile, fixed and wholesale networks.
EE runs the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network, pioneering the UK’s first superfast 4G mobile service in October 2012. EE’s 4G coverage today reaches more than 75% of the UK geography and 99% of the population. EE’s superfast fibre broadband service covers around 80% of the UK population, and ADSL broadband service covers 98.7% of the population.
Our responsibility approach, which we call ‘Better Britain’ is built on the back of our success in building a new digital infrastructure for the country. It supports individuals and communities in two ways. Firstly, by working to improve people’s digital skills and ensure they are able to benefit from the endless benefits that being connected brings; and secondly by using our scale as one of the country’s biggest and most successful companies to boost youth employment. Around all of this is the way we operate as a company – with our suppliers, the industry and our customers – to build trust.
As part of our commitment to being #1 for service, we have a responsibility to ensure all our customers have the best possible experience.
We’re showing the UK how inclusive we are in our retail stores by registering each store with Euan’s Guide – a disabled access review website and app that aims to ‘remove the fear of the unknown’ and inspire people to try new places.
Achieving our vision
Our vision is to provide the best network and best service so our customers trust us with their digital lives. Here’s how we’ll achieve it:
Best network: Building a new digital backbone for Britain.
Best service: Delivering outstanding service to our customers through our stores, in our centres and online.
Customer trust and relevance: Providing a personalised experience for our customers – from the products and services we offer, to the way we sell them.
At EE, things just keep getting better and better. Not only are we the proud parent of Britain’s best network and on our way to becoming no.1 for service, this year we’ve really outdone ourselves by ranking 3rd in The Sunday Times’ Top 30 Best Big Companies to Work For list.
We know that keeping our people happy, motivated and engaged is key to our success. So we’re extremely proud that we’ve been recognised as the country’s 3rd best big employer. And we’ve lots of opportunities for people that share our vision and passion to join us. So, why not head over here to find out what makes EE such a great place to work.
EE AWARDED TOP MARKS FOR WORKPLACE ENGAGEMENT
We’re extremely proud to have been awarded the Best Companies 3* Accreditation for Workplace Engagement. Alongside this, our internal survey demonstrated that our employees are engaged and happy, as they enjoy working in our friendly culture and receiving the great rewards and benefits we offer – as well as the opportunity for personal growth.
