    Job Description: Are you an experienced Head / Lead Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge within Adult Mental Health. We are currently recruiting a Head Occupational Therapist to work up 37.5 hrs per week between Monday to Friday. Candidates seeking 4 or 5 days per week will also be considered. Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of secure mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a mental health rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway. Services are delivered in a purpose-built therapeutic environment where the focus is on maximising positive outcomes and recovery. A range of therapies delivered collaboratively, supports the care pathway towards independent living. The hospital is close to transport links and with ready access to the local community. The Opportunity. This role will be split between working on our brand new Acorn Ward - a Female PICU service, and managing a large, dynamic OT team. The OT team consists of 5 OTs and 5 OTAs/Activity Coordinators across both the hospital and the Lodge, who work collaboratively with patients, their families and staff to achieve therapeutic outcomes and enhance their recovery. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive Head Occupational Therapist (OT) who has extensive knowledge and experience in working within the field of mental health, to drive through our ethos of recovery-focused provision, with our patients being at the centre of their progress. The Head OT will also need to be someone who is an inspiration and an excellent role model to OTs, facilitating a culture of collaboration and innovative practice. The post holder will be part of the senior management team, and be responsible for raising the OT profile, sustaining a strong OT identity within the hospital, and supporting the recruitment and retention of OT staff. You need to have. A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council.
