    Job Description: Established 1984 our client is a leading independently owned cruise specialist they are one of the top independent companies in the country for cruise holidays.

    Our client specialises in cruise holidays, including escorted cruises and has exclusive deals with many of the leading cruise lines. Their successful partnership with many of the top River and Ocean cruise companies enables them to share both our expertise and special offers with all of their clients.

    The company is now looking to recruit for a Assistant Manager to join their expanding team.

    Key purpose of the role of Assistant Manager:

    To deliver exceptional customer service, travel solutions and marketing assistance that exceeds expectations whilst providing support to the directors. Displaying a high level of commitment, energy and enthusiasm and achieve personal, and company goals.

    Key activities:
    - Assisting with the organisation and running of Cruise Presentations/Events, off site.
    • Assist with proof-reading company marketing artwork where required.
    • Assisting with the control of invoicing out and payments received relating to marketing activity.
    • Assist where required with the management of the clients database.
    • Assist with the implantation of procedures and controls to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the role.
    • To deliver a full booking experience providing a high level of customer service completing all administration and documentation in a timely manner.
    • Offer full travel advice where required i.e. visa requirements for new and existing clients relevant to their chosen destination.
    • To contribute to company sales targets by achieving and exceeding personal targets.
    • To build and maintain extensive knowledge of products and services available to our clients through regular on-line training, supplier events and organised company training sessions
    • Handle all customer service complaints quickly and effectively keeping the directors updated at all times.
    • Manage discounts to increase profit margins.
    • To support company preferred partner strategy
    • Ensure the store premises are secure at the close of business.
    • Consistently work within company guidelines for compliance i.e. trading standards; travel industry regulations
    • Attend and contribute to staff 121’s (appraisals)with directors
