Our client, a well-established travel agent and tour operator is looking for an enthusiastic and customer focussed person to join the team. This is a successful growing business that can offer the right person a great career in the travel industry.

Role Summary

The focus of the role is to manage inbound calls and online enquiries effectively and accurately, selling and booking holidays, recording of enquirer information and keeping to the team KPIs. The role has a competitive basic salary plus uncapped commissions.

Skills required:

Key Responsibilities

To manage enquires efficiently and record all relevant information
Adhere to team KPIs of call answering and conversion rates
Accurately complete booking forms and liase with Customer Services to ensure effective completion of customer travel arrangements
Organise and complete administration for all TBA elements our with supplier date ranges
To attend product training and pro-actively maintain acceptable level of product knowledge
Review all marketing activity, advertisements and partner products.
To up sell upgrades and holiday extra’s where possible
Take ownership of each call and ensure they are dealt with to the customers satisfaction
Liase with all departments to achieve the company objectives
Skills Required

· Previous sales experience within the travel industry is an advantage but we would be pleased to hear from applicants who want to be in the travel industry and have a successful call centre sales track record

Good written and verbal communication skills along with an excellent telephone manner
Be self motivated and work hard to achieve sales targets
Be empathetic to customer needs, respond and resolve issues within 24 hours
Be confident and precise when speaking with customers
Be able to listen and ask the relevant questions in order to understand their needs
Flexibility in approach to working tasks and business needs, with the ability to multi-task
Good organisational skills, Energy and enthusiasm
A good mathematical understanding
Ability to use Microsoft packages – e.g. Word, Outlook
Ability to work across all levels and functions of the department
Resilience to deal with an ever changing and fast paced environment
Salary

£18,000 per annum basic plus uncapped commissions

Realistic OTE £24,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours

40 hours per week, Monday-Sunday

Flexible between 9.00-21.00 on rota
