Support the migration of archived e-mails to the new 0365 platform by following clearly defined work instructions. Credit Controller. Main purpose of job. The role is to provide a comprehensive and commercially focussed Credit Control service for the London & Bristol offices. Working with Partners, Associates and PA`s throughout the London practice to help the collection of outstanding debt, providing various supportive information requested by the business and clients. This is a proactive role seeking to improve and maintain/achieve optimum debtor days, ensure efficiency and effectiveness of collection procedures and be in a position to advise practice groups on acknowledged best practice. Main duties and responsibilities. Building effective relationships and networks inside and outside of the firm to influence and improve the firm`s lock-up cycle. Establishing strong working relationships with all matter partners through regular review meetings to ensure that focus is maintained on timely debt collection in order to meet agreed targets and timetables. Accepting responsibility and taking ownership of operational issues, finding practical solutions and escalating problems where appropriate. Interacting with a wide range of contacts at different levels, requiring an awareness of own impact on others and an adjustment of behaviour accordingly. Applying commercial logic in order to advise the business on best practice in order to obtain the maximum financial benefit for the firm. Providing commercial and legislative advice as appropriate. Obtaining relevant feedback in order to advise on improvements to the processes of the team and actively promoting the finance function. Provide and co-ordinate detailed input to the accurate valuation of Debt and Doubtful Debt on a periodic basis. In line with the firms policies and procedures, co-ordinate write off thresholds through International Practice group heads and the IEC committee where appropriate. Liaising with the cashiers team regarding the allocation of receipts, and with the billing and Ebilling teams regarding billing, credit notes and re-issued invoices, in order to confirm the accuracy of the information used in financial analysis and reporting. Key relationships. Constant interaction with London & Bristol Partners. Providing advice, influencing and making recommendations will be a major part of the role. Providing a quality service, building trust and strong working relationships will be key. Providing pro-active feedback, updates and the escalation of any issues on a regular basis to the credit supervisor. Regular contact with other members of the revenue team to share knowledge and provide advice with regards to the best use of financial systems and adherence to processes, policies and procedures. Strong working relationships are required as the role relies on daily support and assistance from other members of this team. Education / qualifications / experience. At least 5 GCSE grade C or above or equivalent qualifications. To be able to demonstrate the application of best practice together with a commercial approach with regards to credit control and billing. To be able to demonstrate experience of building successful relationships and influencing. Experience in a Law firm or professional services environment beneficial but not essential. Main duties and responsibilities. Diary and contact management. Proactively manage and maintain fee earners' diaries, making appointments and coordinating internal and external client meetings, meetings with legal directories etc and ensure all work activities are scheduled effectively, including the identification and resolution of potential challenges and clashes.
